The landowner’s privacy and property are to be respected at all times.
All dogs must be muzzled when racing.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times other than when racing.
Owners/handlers of loose dogs will be fined.
With regards to the start/finish the judges decision is final.
All dogs to be entered before 10:30 am.
Owners/handlers MUST obey the starters instructions as stated at the start
of each race.
Any dog which gets “a flyer” will be disqualified from that race.
Bitches in season must not be raced or shown.
A race will ONLY be re-run if there is a lure malfunction or at the sole discretion
of the committee.
Puppies under 12 months of age cannot be raced competitively.
Categories for racing and showing are:

Large Lurcher 24” and over,

Dogs will only be allowed to race in their relevant category.
The committee reserves the right to ban any dog.
This will normally be after all attempts to rectify the offending dog have failed.
The owner will be notified at least one race meeting in advance of any such
decision.
Annual membership covers one family living permanently at the same address.
Any complaints are to be forwarded in writing and signed, for the consideration
of the committee at it’s next meeting.
Owners/handlers and spectators must keep clear of the running track at all times,
other than when recovering their dogs.
The committee and its officers reserve the right to refuse any entry or membership
for any reason they feel fit.
Any dog disqualified for fighting or howsoever impeding te course of a race will
not be permitted re-entry on the day and the name of the dog will be entered
into the disqualification book. Two appearances in the book will require the
offending dog to run a clearing trial before racing competitively again.
Neither the Sussex Longdogs Association nor its officers accept any
responsibility for any loss, damage or injury to any persons, animals
or property howsoever caused.
